Ms. Sharon Berberich, B.S.
Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Sharon Berberich, B.S. is the Chief Executive Officer and has more than 25 years in agriculture biotechnology and crop protection. She led product/business development, licensing and venture investment at Dow AgroSciences and held positions at Monsanto in R&D;, Regulatory, Licensing and Business Unit Leadership. She served as Director for International Programs at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, VP Business Development at Chlorogen Inc., and CEO/COO at Kaiima Bio Agritech Inc. She holds a B.S. from the University of Missouri – Columbia in Agriculture and Biochemistry.
Jeffrey Staub, Ph.D.
Founder and Chief Scientific Officer
Jeffrey Staub, Ph.D. is the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of the company. He is an inventor of the chloroplast engineering technology in important row crops. He spent 19+ years at Monsanto Company as a Science Fellow where he continued to develop the chloroplast engineering platform, resulting in key patents in the field. Dr. Staub earned his Ph.D. at Rutgers University in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and held a post-doctoral position at Yale University under an NIH Fellowship. He has an M.S in Applied Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Microbiology from Pennsylvania State University.
Ms. Elizabeth Gallegos, MBA
Chief Financial Officer and Operations Officer
Ms. Elizabeth Gallegos, MBA is the Chief Financial Officer and Operations Officer of the company. She is the President and owner of her consulting firm, The Bamboo Group which has served the start-up community for more than 15 years. She served as VP Business Development at Colliant LLC, Finance/strategy advisor to Chlorogen Inc., Pasteuria BioScience Inc., FBSciences, Kaiima BioAgritech Inc. and spent 8 years at Monsanto Company in Business & Finance positions. She holds an MBA and B.A. from Washington University’s John M. Olin School of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences
David Duncan, Ph.D.
Chariman of the Board of Directors
David Duncan, Ph.D. is the Chariman of the Board of Directors. Most recently, Dr. Duncan is a Venture Partner for Finistere Ventures. He was CEO and is currently a Board Member of FB BioSciences. Prior to that he was CEO of Pasteuria Bioscience, which was acquired by Syngenta in 2012. He served as CEO of Chlorogen Inc., Collliant LLC and was an executive at Monsanto Company for 20+ years. Dr. Duncan holds a M.S. & Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Agronomy & Herbicide Physiology and a B.S. from Indiana State University in Biology.
